As it probably happened to many of you, animals from nearly all over the world have lived in our house, too – stray cats, guinea-pigs, Russian and miniature hamsters, house mice, goldfishes, geckos, frogs and tadpoles, but above all dogs.
We have had dogs of any kind and size... MAX was the last one.
Max is – I’m using the present tense because he IS still with us – a very hairy crossbred of 45 kg. A cuddly dog, the sweetest I have ever met. He lived with us during a very important period of our family life, but then... he got ill! And after a year he left us. All my family cared for him and stayed with him till the very end and then... we “left him go” giving him our last kiss.
After such a deep sorrow we – my family and I – didn’t want to have hairy friends any more. But our house was too empty. And a year later we surrendered: Blu and Bimba – two 60-day Norwegian Forest kittens of only 200 grams – became the new members of our family.
